Why Boudoir?

Why not? Let's face it. We all want to be that femme fatale to someone. But deep inside, we want to be that femme fatale to "The Woman in the Mirror".

Each morning, you get up, make yourself a coffee, tea and you walk up to your bathroom to get ready for the day. Who do you see first in the mirror? Who greets you in that mirror? You! We look at ourselves in that mirror and if we like what we see, then we can walk out through the front door with full confidence and feeling empowered to do miracles. If we do not like what we see, our day turns into weeks, months, years, and we lose ourselves. No matter who we are Mom, wife, sister, or just us. We need ourselves.

For me, Boudoir photography represents finding ourselves again and bringing back the femininity and self confidence that got lost within us.

If you are not sure what boudoir means?

It is a French word for a woman's private sitting room or salon. Boudoir is a furnished accommodation, traditionally located between the dining room and the bedroom. Boudoir is also a term for a woman's private bedroom. Broadly, boudoir photography is a photographic style featuring intimate, romantic, and sometimes erotic images intended for private enjoyment.

I personally believe that boudoir photography itself is an exceptionally empowering experience that truly helps you regain yourself - to become confident in the beauty within you and also being comfortable in your own skin. Boudoir has been around for many centuries and has evolved to become a classy representation of women femininity.

This is about empowering you.

We might find ourselves asking the question "Should I book a boudoir session?". It's not a matter of "should", it is about when. First of all, boudoir is a present to yourself. It is a celebration of your milestones and achievements - giving back the power after life downfalls or celebrating life itself. For some of you, it can be that first weight loss. For some, it is a gift to celebrate professional growth. For you Moms, it is about discovering the lost woman in you after having kids - not waiting for him to tell you: "you are beautiful" and/or not waiting for your partner to make you feel beautiful. For the strong independent women, you know who are, it can be a great birthday gift or a perfect check mark on your bucket list. To all of us, boudoir is a celebration of strong feminine beauty within you.

You owe it to yourself.
